Aldar Properties Pop Up at Volvo China Open

Brief

As well as hosting the high-profile 29th Volvo China Open in May 2024, Shenzhen’s Hidden Grace Golf Club was also the site of a pop-up store for Aldar Properties, an acclaimed real estate developer from the United Arab Emirates.

Pico was commissioned to deliver design, production, event planning, execution, data collection and analysis for the installation, which combined the brand’s story and interactive games to extend Aldar’s influence in the China market.

Themed ‘Swinging to the Future’, the store was designed to convey Aldar’s brand essence by catching visitor’s attention and then holding it through interactive components. Accordingly, the store featured everything from a gift zone and rest area to a display and gaming zones, all designed to stimulate the imagination as well as encourage lingering visits.

Solution

To compel visitors to fully experience the brand, anyone who completed check-in and followed Aldar’s official social media received a branded gift. In the impressive display zone, an LED screen offered an immersive overview of the company’s current real estate and golf course projects in the UAE, imbuing viewers with an in-depth understanding of the brand’s concept and culture. 

As a culmination of their visit to both the store and the China Open, visitors could proceed to an interactive game zone where VR golf game awaited. Players could feel the sensation of hitting holes in one – right at the heart of Aldar’s own golf-centric culture.
